Out of hours Emergency Number
For out of hours or emergencies (eg: fire / flood / building damage) members should call 01522 782246. The officer answering the call will notify the appropriate member of staff. This number should only be used for reporting incidents of an urgent nature. In the event of an emergency Breckland and South Holland have a designated contact number for use by the blue light services only if council involvement is required to help with a crisis that occurs out of hours. This emergency number is covered by experienced members of council staff who provide cover on a rota basis. When contacted by the emergency services, the Duty Officer on call will notify the Leader, relevant ward member/s and senior officers to cascade information and ensure they are fully briefed.
